Minister of state for electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar in a written reply to the Lok Sabha mentioned the apps are developed by varied nations, together with China.
“Primarily based on the request from MHA, the Ministry of Electronics and Data Know-how (MeitY) has blocked these 348 cellular functions since such knowledge transmissions infringes the sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India and safety of the State,” he mentioned.
